It was a beautiful sunny day in May 2022 for Natalie and Joe’s English Garden themed Wedding at Deer Park in Honiton. Natalie and Joe arrived in style in a fabulous white vintage Jaguar – how cool is that!

Deer Park is a gorgeous 18th Century Mansion with stunning Italian grounds. Drinks on the veranda and canapes of sticky honey and sesame roasted pork belly, sesame prawn toasts, Thai dipping sauce and tomato and basil bruschetta were served as the bride and groom and their family and friends relaxed under the shade of the impressive Deodar tree. It was so much fun to capture the guests playing Jenga and Croquet on the lawn. My favourite part of the day is documenting all the natural moments that unfold organically throughout the day.

Deer Park offers so many beautiful backdrops for formal portraits of family and friends and especially beautiful couple portraits. From pretty hanging wisteria on the side of the house, or through the wisteria tunnel to the cutest summer house, rhododendron bushes, (which flower spring to early summer) and then the gorgeous walled garden with the picturesque glass green house, swinging chairs under trees and magnificent fountains and even a treehouse.

Natalie and Joe celebrated in the bright Georgian Orangery, which looked so magical with twinkling fairy lights and gorgeous flower arrangements. The delicious cake made by Claire Arscott (www.clairearscottcakedesign.co.uk) with an impressive four tiers – Biscoff, Chocolate, Victoria Sponge and Carrot – just mouth watering. The beautiful flowers adorning the tables from Emma Hewlett were divine (www.emmahewlett.co.uk)
After the hilarious speeches, Natalie and Joe headed out to the gardens to relax before the evening’s entertainment. As the sun began to set, we were able to capture some artistic natural portraits as the newly weds strolled around the walled garden chatting amongst the apple blossom and had a few moments to catch up with each other.
The wonderful local Devon band Bill Ding and the Skyscrapers opened the party and everyone burst on to the dancefloor. Fresh homemade Pizza was served in the evening which everyone loved. What a perfect way to finish a glorious wedding for Natalie and Joe.
